Product Description

 

Hi-Melt RB 2 is a premium quality clay thickened grease formulated with Castor Oil, a biodegradable vegetable oil, to provide outstanding performance in a wide range of automotive and industrial applications where contact with natural and/or synthetic rubber components is required or likely. Unlike mineral oil based greases, the Castor Oil component of Hi-Melt RB 2 means that it will not adversely affect rubber parts therefore preventing excessive softening or hardening.

 

By its very nature Castor Oil imparts excellent lubricity and corrosion prevention properties to Hi-Melt RB2. A food grade antioxidant has been included to maximise in-service and storage life.

The state-of-the-art equipment and procedures employed to manufacture Hi-Melt RB 2 imparts to this grease a high degree of mechanical and storage stability. It will not breakdown under high mechanical stress. In storage it will not alter consistency or release oil.

Hi-Melt RB 2 is an NLGI 2 consistency greases.

 

Application

Hi-Melt RB 2 is recommended as a general purpose, non-harmful grease for automotive, industrial and consumer parts or components consisting of natural or synthetic rubber. These include hydraulic dust covers, braking system components, seals, washers, stoppers, tyre  rims for ease of fitting etc.

The recommended operating temperature range for Hi-Melt RB 2 is from -9 oC to 80 oC.

This product is classified as non-hazardous. No special precautions are required if employed and handled in accordance to normal practice for this type of product. Good personal hygiene is recommended when handling this product. After any spills or personal contact, the skin area should be washed with soap and water. Clothing should be laundered.
