HI-MELT SERIES
Premium High Temperature Clay Greases

Product Description
Hi-Melt Series are high quality clay thickened greases formulated to provide outstanding performance in a wide range of automotive and moderate duty industrial applications particularly where very high temperatures are encountered. They are based on premium quality, high viscosity base oils to provide exceptional resistance to oxidation at high temperatures, good water resistance and anti-wear performance under high loads and low speeds.
The state-of-the-art equipment and procedures employed to manufacture Hi-Melt Series imparts to these greases a high degree of mechanical and storage stability. They will not breakdown under high mechanical stress. In storage they will not alter consistency or release oil.
Hi-Melt Series are available in NLGI 2 & 3 consistency greases.
Application

Hi-Melt Series are recommended for the lubrication of plain and antifriction bearings in applications such as oven conveyor or kiln bearings operating at low speeds and high temperatures or under cycling conditions of ambient to high temperatures. Due to the inertness of the clay thickener they are often employed in harsh acid and alkaline environments.
The recommended operating temperature range for Hi-Melt Series are from 0 oC to 180 oC. They can endure higher temperatures for short periods or if the lubrication frequency is increased.
Hi-Melt 2 is the normal recommendation where ambient temperatures and normal pumpability conditions exist.
Hi-Melt 3 is recommended where ambient or operating temperatures are higher than normal or where leakage is a concern
